Last Tuesday I attended my first London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) PA Club event. Taking place at The Dominion Theatre the night consisted of a canapé reception, tour of the events facilities and a ticket to the show We Will Rock You. If you are an assistant I would highly recommend you put your name down on The PA Club’s mailing list as they do organise very interesting and useful events at various locations across London. Aside from the venue itself there were additional suppliers for your event needs, including a catering company who provided the canapés, a magician and two singing waiters. The added touches were great and would definitely add something to your event. The details on the suppliers can be found below.
As for the venue itself, we were really looked after and the show was excellent. The building has two main areas for events, The Studio which is sound-proof and generally used for private dinners and parties and the Boardroom for meetings and conferences. Both rooms are a good size and have the facilities available to cater for your needs. However I would say that the rest of the event space was a little dated and I personally found it quite dark and dingy and wouldn’t use the smaller rooms. Also the studio and boardroom are both located up some quite steep stairs and although there is a lift it may be inaccessible for some. On a positive note the DDR is extremely competitive for such a centrally located venue and if you arrange a tour of the theatre and tickets for the show it could prove to be an interesting and quirky space for your guests.
